Despite appearances and her young age (the 15 in annette_15 stands for her age when she first opened online poker accounts a few years ago), Annette is a phenomenon in online poker with results close to the prowess.

Meet Annette Obrestad, one of the most successful young poker players in the world. Today, her winnings exceed $4,300,000 in poker tournaments alone.

Annette was born in 1988 in Norway. She was taught Stud poker by her father as her child, and she was rapidly the unchallenged champion at home. So as a young teenager at the age of fifteen, it was only natural that she asks her mother to let her use her credit card to open an online poker account.

Annette's mother is a good mother, a little bit on the strict side, so she refused. But Annette Obrestad did not become one of the best poker players in the world by giving way to small hurdles. So she built her bankroll from scratch by winning freeroll tournaments.

Annette Obrestad realized that she could beat the low stakes online ring games, so she continued to make profits, progressively specializing in large buy-in tournaments. And while still a high-school student, she was making hundreds of thousands of dollars playing online poker tourneys from her bedroom.

After reaching the status of poker celebrity, Annette first become a pro at Betfair. But in May 2010 she made the news when Full Tilt Poker signed Annette Obrestad.
